Ball Breaker Jig
The Ball Breaker Jig is one that has a relatively simple design concept but was really tricky to actually design and bring to market. At first glance, it appears to be a simple ball head jig design but it is much more. This jig is designed to be for flipping bluffs and steep rocky banks. The ball head accompanied with the hook sitting slightly forward of center in the jig helps it to not get caught and wedged in rocks, along with the line tie being slightly recessed into the head. The head is also poured with a softer grade of lead, which is more bendable. So that when it does get wedged into a rock, when your pulling on it trying to get it out, the lead will actually move, and you'll be able to pull the jig out on most occasions. With that comes a downside though, when the lead moves the paint will chip on it. But, after playing with it and thinking about it, id rather have my jig back with a little paint missing than not have my jig back at all. The paint is still super resistant to chipping though, just like everything else it is powder coated and baked for durability. The other major thing I did to this jig was added a super beefy 3/0 hook to it. Small enough and stout enough for you to be able to use a big, heavy rod and big line and not bend the hook.
